Julia + Adrian

Classic Romance Meets Reception Revelry

Laissez les bons temps rouler

Although the pair briefly met at a football viewing party in 2011, they didn’t truly get to know one another until an overlapping Mardi Gras trip in 2012. However, at the end of the weekend, they went their separate ways without exchanging contact info, and a week passed before Adrian reached out to his eventual-best man Eric to ask for Julia’s number. The rest, as they say, is (very happy) history. They currently live in San Francisco but the couple knew they wanted a Miami wedding to ensure their family and friends could attend. Plus, they liked the idea of a destination wedding—for themselves, that is! When asked why they chose EPIC, they exclaim, “Have you seen it? We fell in love with the EPIC as soon as we walked in. We always dreamed of an elegant, black-tie wedding, and the EPIC met every criterion for our wedding we could’ve imagined.” In addition to the incredible views, food and ballroom space, the duo fell in love with the amazing EPIC staff, too.

Memorable Details

The wedding ceremony took place at South Beach’s Saint Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Florist St. Germain Events created a stunning bouquet for the bride's walk down the aisle with her dad. Afterward, a reception filled the romance-tinged Metropolis Ballroom, where the “simple, classic and elegant” décor featured candles and palette of whites, greens with pops of rose gold.

“It truly was the most beautiful day of our lives, and we will forever cherish the memories we made at the EPIC.”

The couple deems their wedding day “absolutely flawless,” and they thank wedding planner Elle as well as the EPIC team for ensuring everything felt organized and seamless.

The bridesmaids, mother of the bride, mother-in-law and sister-in-laws got ready in the Baxter conference room, surrounded by Champagne and sunshine. The groom, his groomsmen and both father’s got ready in a stunning waterview suite overlooking the Miami River, which made the perfect backdrop for their pre-wedding cheers.

After officially becoming husband and wife, the newlyweds were greeted back at the EPIC with delicious hors d’oeuvres, Champagne and a surprise (emotional) ballroom reveal. The dinner, speech and toasts brought laughter and tears to all. Perhaps the most memorable part? A packed dance floor with all the guests dressed with Mardi Gras themed beads and masks.
